Pastor Sam serves as a Pastor of The Gate. He serves in many different capacities at The Gate, including leading the Courtyard Ministry, but his passion is building families and equipping them to pass their values down to the next generation. He has written a book for that very purpose, Living That Matters, Living by God’s Design.
Sam has been married to his wife Chris for 50 years. He has also been pastoring for 50 years.
Pastor Sam loves being out in the wilderness backpacking and climbing in the mountains, but he gets his greatest fulfilment being around people. The thing he loves most about The Gate is the focus on teaching the Bible and the strong bond of the people. The people of The Gate love their God and love each other.
